When is the best time to book?
I get this question all the time, when is the best time to book my maternity & newborn session?
Every. Single. Person. is different, every pregnancy is different so please keep that in mind when I answer this question. At the end of the day, you have to do what's best for you & your little one.
I always recommend booking your maternity/newborn bundle if you are doing that around 20-25 weeks along
Booking your maternity session:
This one I think I get the most, most mamas want to look pregnant but not feel miserable lol!
I always recommend booking your maternity session for around 28-35 weeks, you can always go later if you'd like but with my experience, babies are entirely too unpredictable to chance waiting after 35 weeks along!
In the years I have been offering maternity, the real sweet spot is 32-34 weeks!
I love for my mamas to come in about a week before their session to try on, in the client closet, we have so many beautiful gowns, robes, wings, etc. to choose from!
Booking your newborn session:
Oh my sweet little babies, they come into the studio at all different stages and ages! I always recommend doing your newborn session within the first 7-21 days, babies tend to be the sleepiest and easiest to capture around that time. But of course like anything, I always tell mamas to come in when YOU feel ready to do your session, parenthood is a whole new ballgame and if you are a first time parent... forget about it lol! I expect you to being running late and being overwhelmed because that is just life!
The sweet spot for newborns this last year has been 2.5-3 weeks old!
Never been too worried about coming after that timeline, it is simply a suggestion, it isn't a rule!
I have had plenty of sweet babies over the 5-6 weeks mark do absolutely amazing!
Both these sweet girls were between 6-9 weeks old!
